Trade in Services : A Case Study of India’s Higher Education Sector is a research publication of the author prepared for the Global Trade Programme of Jadavpur university under the UGC’s Potentials for Excellence Scheme. This book examines the implication of globalisation of services under the GATS treaty for the higher education sector of the Indian economy during the post-reform period. The book covers and analysis of trade in services, globalisation, GATS and trade in educational services, provides a critical review of the issues of higher education sector in India costs of higher education services in India and the policy challenges in this sector under globalisation.
