Sri Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers are located in the northern most part of Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. In this area, an almost infinite varieties of flowers bloom from June to August end and here again Guru Govind Singh, in his previous birth meditated on the shores of a celestial lake called Sri Hemkund Sahib.
The book describes as how two different missions, unaware of each other’s work discovered these two destinations in the decade of 1930.
The book persists to say that these destinations are heritages of international significance and need to be preserved for posterity and therefore suggests a balanced action plan and regulated tourist traffic.
