"The infrastructure is the catalyst in economic development and sustain growth G.D.P. and human existence. Infrastructure bottlenecks act as a serious drag on the progress of the nation like India.
Sanitation is a package of health related measures. It denotes the methods of disposal of human waste as well as liquid and solid waste including matter originating from food and hygiene. Inadequate sanitation impacts the local economy by adversely affecting the productivity loss due to sickness and the overall quality of life.
Housing is an integral part of the human sustenance and development. It needs special provisions for providing support facilities for the occupational groups rural infrastructure, sanitation, housing, health care. To meet the housing needs of rural people, Ministry of Rural Development initiated scheme, such as, minimum needs programme, Indira Awas Yojana and Jawahar Rozgar Yojana under ‘Bharat Nirman’ and rural development.
The health of a nation is a sum total of the health of its citizen and communities. There is a considerable challenge for optimizing the existing rural health infrastructure throughout the country. Considering the potentiality of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), it is proposed that the health infrastructure in rural areas be made accountable to different tiers of PRIs at their respective levels."
