"The book ‘Some Facets of Buddhism’ contains a collection of papers presented by the author in different national and international seminars till date. All the papers are mostly concerned with the two important schools of Buddhist philosophy, i.e., Vijnanavada and Madhyamika. Some the papers discuss the origin, development and importance of the philosophical foundation of Buddhist culture. An interpretative approach to understand Sunyata from ten different models has been given. The doctrine of Svabhava has been discussed from Buddhist and non-Buddhist philosophical point of view in the book. Some preliminary information has been provided in two papers concerning Korean Buddhism and Zen Buddhism." (jacket)
