"Freedom depends on economic condition, even more than political. If a woman is not economically free and self-earning, she will have to depend on her husband or some one else and dependents are never free. So, the development of entrepreneurship among women can be taken as a tool to make them economically independent. They can also provide employment to other women through their entrepreneurship.
This is a first major study which identifies the role of women entrepreneurs in exports. The study is extremely important in view of growing importance of woken empowerment in the world especially in India.
In this book an extensive survey has also been made on various socio-economic aspects of women entrepreneurs doing garment exports." (jacket)
