Civilization: Hinduism, Buddhism and Vedic Religion Book
Vedic religion and Indian civilization is very old. The study of India’s ancient literature makes it absolutely obvious that the Indo-Aryans who propounded Vedic religion were intelligent, industrious, smart and powerful. They established their own social system, political order, cultural ethos, economic organizations and religious ways. It appears that the Rig Veda being the most ancient literature served as the basic source of information regarding origin of society and civilization both in India and European countries. The Vedas emerged as the richest treasury of knowledge upon which the civilization of India has been built. The Vedas are the primeval source of Indo-Aryans theological, philosophical, moral, ethical, social, religious and political understanding. The Rishis of Indo-Aryans of ancient India were the great people of vision, idealism, intelligence, wisdom, insight, foresightedness and morality. Hymns of the Vedas contain moral ideas and spiritual hopes and aspirations. Morality, divinity, spirituality, humanity, nonviolence and universal brotherhood are the richest values of India even today because they all emerged from the womb of the sacred Vedas. Today, India abounds in international morality, universal brotherhood, mass scale humanity and the highest spirituality due to its historical background that is abundantly available in Vedic literature. It was the ancient ancestors who laid the foundation of India’s moral and philosophical base upon which the strong and attractive mansion of Indian cultural as well as religious ways of life have been laid down. Without proper knowledge of Vedic religion understanding of Hindu civilization is never complete.
